HAIR

Lilac or gray? Either way, you win! Whether you decide to lighten it up and go-unicorn, or just age gracefully and rock your gray locks, it’s IN for 2019! Will you decide to go in a different direction or return to au-natural? The most important aspect is JOY. Are you expressing yourself the way YOU want to? You should! It’s a win-win in 2019! According to Cosmopolitan Magazine, going gray is up by 879% (#embraceyourself).

Cropped bangs and no-fuss styles, anyone? YES for 2019!

MAKE-UP

2018 was the year for going bare/nude. 2019 is the year for going bare/nude on your base, and going bold on the lips! We are ALL about HOWEVER you decide to go bold and beautiful here on #espressofied.

Rock your brightest reds, blue-hues, and hottest pinks!
Metallics and shimmery brighten and attract. Emit and reflect your light!

I, personally, stick to my go-to: dark eyes (heavy on the liner and mascara), subdued mauve pout, and nude-pink base. I have olive undertones and dark hair, so pinks brighten me up. Bold reds are reserved for my make-a-statement days, which happen often.

NAILS

Make it a match… or don’t! If you go bare lips with haute nails, or bare nails with haute lips… you’re golden. Bold colors, metallics, and even the classic “Bubble Bath” tones are all in. Add jewels, and you’re #goals.

2108 was all about gel manis, but it looks like 2019 will be the year of dip powders, which seem to last longer and are less damaging to your nail beds.

We’re all for the new-french manis. Change up your french manis for print! Exchange the white tips for gold-encrusted pinks, Greco-Roman patterns, purple criss-crosses, and whatever else your imagination can conjure up!

Colors to prep your base for: Golds, pink-golds (think “rosé”), silver, lilacs, corals, brights, deeply-darks (depending on the season).
