The Power Shoe That Reveal a Part of My Dreams
I used to dream of being something of a "Devil Wears Prada" CEO (envision a Miranda Priestly-type, only MUCH kinder) working in an NYC skyscraper as a luxury goods writer. I also imagined myself as a pediatric endocrinologist working as a hot-shot doctor at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital (wink wink).
I imagined myself walking around in the highest black patent-leather heels, strutting my stuff in and out of meetings. The only issue is high heels usually aren't comfortable. When I tell you I can live in sandals, I can. Make that flip-flops...
Over the years, my health declined and I decided to stay within close proximity to my transplant hospital. My dreams of working in an NYC skyscraper shifted and eventually felt like they were being wiped out. I knew I needed to pivot and make my dreams come true in a different way. Although I couldn’t be physically in NYC and work as a luxury good writer, I could still do something similar. Now, I write about any/all products and services that I love. What was missing was the high-heeled patent leather shoes…
