Must Experience: The Bedford Bath Ritual

I was invited to experience the Omni Bedford Springs Resort in Bedford, PA. It’s in the Cumberland Valley of the Allegheny Mountains in South-Central Pennsylvania, which has a very small-town charm. My husband and I drove about 2.5 hours from our house to this resort to enjoy a 2-night stay—- what blew me away was my spa experience.
I go to spas often out of self-care/self-love and for enjoyment and relaxation. But this is not your average spa experience by any means and it really left an impression on me.
The Springs Eternal Spa at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort is a 30,000 sq. ft. spa for relaxation and spa treatments that were inspired by the resort's eight mineral springs which were first used by Native Americans for their healing properties.
BEDFORD BATH RITUAL
The historic "Bedford Baths" is a beauteous experience. I wish I could do this regularly. Native Americans taught us about the curative power of natural spring/mineral waters and bath rituals. This is a modern-day version of this. The spa features a mineral deluge, large whirlpool, cool spring water plunge, & aromatic steam. This is a must-do! I felt renewed! INDIGENOUS HONEYSUCKLE GINGER DEW BODY SCRUB
I chose to have this particular body scrub because it’s reminiscent of the rolling hills of Pennsylvania and utilizes an indigenous walnut ginger scrub to gently exfoliate the skin. The spa bed stayed nice and warm during my service and my practitioner made me feel right at home. She gently massaged the glorious scrub all over my skin, therapeutically rinsed it off with natural spring water (I didn't have to get up/off the spa bed-- love that!), then massaged Honeysuckle Body Butter on to hydrate my skin. My skin is so soft and smooth!
After the Bedford Baths and body scrub, I returned to the spacious sitting room where treats are offered while you relax on beautifully-cushioned lounge chairs to take the day in. I will return… very soon.
