DC: "Moon Rabbit" Restaurant Opening on February 11
Moon Rabbit will be reopening on February 11! During their brief hibernation, the team has been busy finding ways to reimagine offerings and are excited to launch new programming for the month of February.
Family Style Viet-Cajun To-Go Meal (February 5-10):
For a limited time, Moon Rabbit is launching a family-style Viet-Cajun to-go meal from February 5-10! The menu celebrates Chef Kevin Tien’s favorite time of the year when Mardi Gras and Vietnamese Lunar New Year collide. Dishes include a 10-piece whole fried chicken dinner, buttermilk scallion biscuits, dirty fried rice, corn maque choux and peanut butter pie topped with peanut crumble, and Cafe du Monde coffee caramel for dessert. All orders must be received by 5 pm the day prior to your desired pickup date. Orders must be placed on Resy to Go by 5 pm the day prior and are available for pick up between 5-7 pm.
A La Carte Holiday Menu (February 11-14):
It's not often the Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tết), Mardi Gras & Valentine's Day are celebrated in the span of a few days. Chef Kevin Tien has prepared a special a la carte menu available from February 11 to 14. The menu includes Hamachi Crudo to start, whole roasted Branzino with sautéed snow pea leaves, scallions, garlic chili soy, and forbidden black rice, followed by salt and pepper churros with tamarind caramel and miso cremeux for dessert. Tran Nguyen Mural Unveiling (February 11):
Festivities will kick off on February 11 with the official reopening of Moon Rabbit and the official unveiling of acclaimed artist Tran Nguyen’s whimsical mural. Born in Can Tho, Vietnam, Nguyen celebrates Asian 'Moon Rabbit' folklore with this piece serving as a vibrant canvas for equally vibrant cuisine.
Tết (February 12):
Ring in the Vietnamese Lunar New Year on February 12 with lucky red envelopes for all guests; good fortune for all, extreme luck for a few special winners. Prizes will include a $100 Moon Rabbit gift card and an overnight stay in a luxurious suite with a private Moon Rabbit dinner for up to four guests. Reservations available here.
