Greenheart Juice Shop to Launch Fourth Location in Vienna, Virginia

Mayor Linda J. Colbert to welcome the favorite local juice brand at socially distant, intimate ribbon-cutting ceremony

Vienna, VA (August 28, 2020) -- Since launching in the D.C. area in 2013, Greenheart Juice Shop has quickly become a local favorite and will expand in mid-September with the opening of its fourth Virginia location at 208 Dominion Road. Vienna residents will soon enjoy the brand’s signature line of juices, cashew nut milk, and healthy cafe fare in Greenheart’s new 2,000-square foot storefront.

Founder Alicia Swanstrom created a unique menu that rotates to adapt to the seasonal changes in fruits and vegetables. Highlights include Greenheart’s treasured signature juices, like the Liquid Gold, a blend of carrot, pineapple, turmeric, ginger and pear, and the wildly popular Cold Brew Latte, featuring cold brew coffee, cashew milk, Medjool dates, Himalayan pink salt and more. But the magic is in the science. With no added sugars or preservatives, along with the use of a hydraulic cold-press, Greenheart produces juice with a higher nutrient content per ounce than the standard juicer found in homes and in the kitchens of their juice brand peers.

The Vienna location will also offer a sprawling food menu featuring acai bowls, fresh salads and granola medlies, perfect for residents in search of active, fresh ingredients, with health permanently at the forefront of the company’s core mission.

The group prides itself on its sustainability and thoughtful process, which also includes composting unused byproducts, cold-pressing, and bottling. Local partners are key to Greenheart’s success: they work largely in part with Northern Virginia area farms to ensure they’re only serving up perfectly ripe and flavorful ingredients, while simultaneously economically supporting their neighborhood small businesses community.

Landing on Vienna as the fourth location was an easy choice for the Greenheart team. They’ve answered a call from a loyal fanbase with the new storefront, where a growing customer demand rooted from an uptick in-home delivery service and a wildly successful term at the Vienna Farmers Market prompted the brand’s expansion. Nestled in the former space of the beloved neighborhood Safeway and just a stone's throw away from the Washington and Old Dominion trail (W&OD), multiple factors went into finding the right spot. Easy access to parking, proximity to health and wellness boutiques, walking distance to Church Street, and, most importantly, a strong sense of family and community all contributed to making the new location the perfect pick.

“We’ve received overwhelming support and praise from Vienna residents during our stints at the farmers market and can’t wait to have a space to personally welcome all of our Northern Virginia and D.C. area fans!” says Swanstrom.

To celebrate the new storefront and to thank their strong fan base for the ongoing support, Greenheart Juice Shop will be joined by Mayor Linda J. Colbert for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on opening day, as well as offering all patrons buy-one-get-one half off in-store.

“Vienna has been a strong and loyal market for us and we are excited to officially set up shop alongside some of our favorite businesses”, adds Greenheart co-owner Matt Cahir.

Washingtonians can also get in on the juice hype: Greenheart has just expanded its delivery service to include D.C. proper.

Greenheart Juice Shop’s Vienna location will be open from 7am to 7pm, Monday through Sunday.

ABOUT ALICIA SWANSTROM: Founder Alicia Swanstrom pursued her passion in helping people who were focused on living a healthy and fulfilling life through education, support, and clean juice. The name derives as an ode to her late partner Doug Green. In 2011, Green was deployed to Afghanistan for his last tour where he was tragically killed-in-action. Swanstrom promised to honor him with Greenheart Juice Shop as a nod to the matching green heart tattoos they both had.
