Gypsy Kitchen Is Coming to Washington DC!

Here we go, DC! Atlanta-based Gypsy Kitchen is opening its newest location in D.C. this spring and we are so excited! It will be located within the 14th Street Corridor in the space where Masa 14 used to be (so many fond memories).

This gorgeous restaurant will span 6,400 square feet with a 1,100-square-foot rooftop deck! A ROOFTOP (I’ve been asking the universe for more rooftop experiences here in the DC area)! Gypsy Kitchen will serve up pan-Mediterranean small plates with Greek, Indian, Middle Eastern, and Moroccan flavors, among other regional influences.

Are you ready? Check out some of the drool-worthy dishes that will be featured in the Spring below!

Atlanta-Based Gypsy Kitchen Opening New D.C. Location on 14th Street This Spring
The restaurant, spanning 6,400 square feet with a 1,100-square-foot rooftop deck, will serve up pan-Mediterranean small plates

Washington, D.C. (January 8, 2020) Gypsy Kitchen (1825 14th Street NW), a new-to-the-area Mediterranean-style restaurant and bar, is slated to open in Spring 2020 in the space formerly occupied by Masa 14. The new D.C. outpost of the Atlanta-based brand will span 6,400 square feet and boasts a 1,100-square-foot rooftop deck, with a capacity of 217 guests

The upcoming Gypsy Kitchen will highlight pan-Mediterranean cuisine with Greek, Moroccan, Indian, Middle Eastern and other regional influences. With a small plate menu inspired by travel, Gypsy Kitchen will bring the allure of a nomadic lifestyle to D.C in a way that encourages communal dining. Summer Ptitim Stew with ramps, snow peas and green curry sauce, Bissara served with golden beets and Aleppo pepper, Tarama accompanied by purple potatoes and kalamata olives and Spinach and Coconut Raita topped with basil seeds will be among Gypsy Kitchen’s diverse range of menu items.

Alex Curley, the Chief Operating Officer of Southern Proper Hospitality, the restaurant group behind Gypsy Kitchen, is no stranger to international fare. With the new Gypsy Kitchen, Curley -- a D.C. native who helped open Barcelona Wine Bar -- is once again lending his talents to the 14th Street Corridor.

Gypsy Kitchen will launch with dinner, weekend brunch and happy hour offerings.
